The plight of an African child

The plight of an African child
    Hopelessly! He roves the street
Gazing at the mansion of the chiefs
    As the  carriage passes by
He looks at the splashed mud on him
    Happiness promises tomorrow
But why today is full of sorrow?
And tomorrow's road is so narrow
    You need not to cry
    African child
For corruption to have a thunder strike
Its hard labour rests in your palm
For the world to be friendly for siblings to abide
The duty lies by your side
If today must be of bully
    Posterity must live happily.
