Episode 8

I tried not to look at her, but her gaze had already caught mine. I reciprocated her smile and waited till she got to my door. She stretched her hand at me for a hand shake and I transferred all I was holding with my right hand to the left just to embrace her.

I didn't know when I muttered out "your palm is cool and soft, I like it" she smiled more and said "thank you" she asked how was class and I said it was fine. "Omo mummy ( mummy's pet)" I was surprised to hear that until I could reason that she was making reference to yesterday's call which disrupted our chats. We both laughed it off and she left.

She was already behind me when I heard her voice again. "What are your plans for tonight?" "Hmm, just to sleep and perhaps watch movies." I replied. She smiled and asked if I would love to attend a friend's birthday party with her and I obliged without hesitation as if I had been expecting her to ask me that.

"Then, we are leaving by 8:00pm then. Try to look hot" she said with a wink and left. "Do guys look hot?" I asked myself as I moved in.

I saved Biyi's number to my contact and sent him an appreciation message as well as a safe journey wish. I locked the door, got myself naked and went for a shower. I stood in front of the mirror after the shower and admired my physique. It is not as though I am very handsome, but the beards, broad chest, six packs and others are enough to make a girl go crazy. I had been visiting the gym with Wole since I was thirteen years old.

He even thought me how to swim. His muscles and body shape is so intimidating combined with the brilliancy and physical fitness.

I put on a singlet and boxer shots and switched on my laptop to watch some movies. I had  watched the movie for over an hour and I decided to see Wole in his room. I had so much gists for him, but he had also been so busy. Either busy with girls or studies.

I checked my WhatsApp to read and reply messages. Bimbo hadn't been online since morning. I switched of my data connection and went to Wole's room

I wouldn't have knocked, but I couldn't predict what might be going on in the room. I knocked and he asked me to come in without even asking who it was. He was busy with something on his laptop as I got in. I spotted a plate of plantain chips on his table and asked if I can have some. "Keep acting like a stranger there oo" I smiled at his words and reached for a handful of the chips and adjusted the chair to face him as I sat.

"Bro. I have some gists for you." "You have fallen in love? I guess" I was surprised and I asked how he knew what I wanted to tell him. He said he could read it from my facial expression although he just guessed. "Who is she?" He asked further. I told him it is Bimbo. Now u are becoming a real guy. He stood up and shook me hard. He asked if I asked her out already, and I said I haven't, I told him the whole story and he advised me not to hesitate at all. How about my share of the money her bother gave you? he teased

After minutes of chats about Bimbo, I switched to Bisi's. He demanded for more stories about Bisi, and I told him that nothing much transpired between us except that she invited me for a party. Although, he didn't seem okay with the story but he said okay and we talked about several other things, he told me about some girls in the hostel and also some of his sexcapades. It was already 7:00pm, I told him I have to prepare for the party and I left his room but not before takiing one of his eye glasses and a fez cap
maybe they will match with my outfit.
