2019: Electorates turn towards ‘Gangaria’ as battle for Osogbo federal constituency seat heat up

As the race for next year general elections gather momentum, electorates are turning to businessman, Hon. Morufu Adewale Adebayo, popularly known as GANGARIA, as preferred choice for the Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun as House of Representatives seat.
GANGARIA, who is contesting on the platform of Peoples Democracy Party (PDP), is gaining an edge to upstage Lasun Yusuf, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, who is flying the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 16 poll.
Lasun was said to have got the APC ticket unopposed as a consolation for his loss at the party’s governorship primary earlier this year.
The lawmaker came runner up to Gboyega Oyetola, who went on to win the controversial governorship election.
But as regard his chance of returning to the National Assembly next year, sample on where electorates of his constituency casted doubt on Lasun representing Osogbo federal constituency when the ballot is casted next year.
Most of the registered electorates sampled were explicit in pronouncing their preference for GANGARIA, who they said have shown more responsibility than Yusuf who have being representing them in the last seven years.
They pointed out that as a private investor, GANGARIA has touched lives of people in the four local governments that made up the constituency, insisting that sending someone with such standing will further improve the standard of constituents.
“As for me, I’ve decided and I’m voting GANGARIA next year,” Kemi Busari declared when her opinion was sought on who should represent the constituency next year.
“It is not about the party but the personalities involved. GANGARIA has touched many lives, especially youths who have stopped being idle because he (Adewale) engaged them productively.
Another respondent from Olorunda, Moshood Adekunle, said though he isn’t a PDP sympathiser but would have no choice than cast his vote for GANGARIA on February 16.
When pressed on why he would be making such compromising decision, Adekunle said his decision was in the interest of Osogbo federal constituency, which according to him, needed someone like GANGARIA as representative at the green chamber.
“I’ll be making exception of voting PDP for the first time because. He is the kind of representative we have long for in this constituency and I won’t lose the opportunity of adding my thumb to make this positive change possible,” he added.
Both young and old are swayed to the choice of GANGARIA considering his prolific academic, private and political credentials and believed that he possesses a unique passion for human capacity development as a proven job provider with an unblemished integrity.
It was learnt that the rising acceptance of GANGARIA is unsettling APC and Lasun camp, throwing them into marathon meetings to change the tide.
