BOKO HARAM ATTACKS KILL 9 PEOPLE IN NIGER
On Monday night, nine people were killed in Diffa city, South-east Niger from attacks believed to be carried out by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
According to local officials on the scene, the attack was perpetrated by at least three suicide bombers who blew themselves up late in the night at three different locations in downtown Diffa.
The areas where the explosions took place have been enclosed by the security forces.
The attacks came after a relative period of rest in the region, thanks to the large-scale operations undertaken by a mixed multinational force made up by the armies of Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Nigeria, for over a year against the terrorist group Boko Haram. The localities of the Diffa region, especially those who border Nigeria have been suffering attacks after attacks by the Nigeria-based terrorist group.
With persistence of deadly attacks by Boko Haram, the region has been under a state of emergency since February 2015
