    A 32-year-old man, Emmanuel Obi, got into trouble after engaging his rival Ifeanyi Nwafor in a public quarrel and threw him from the top of a bridge to the ground in Lagos.

    The incident took place on top of the Obalende Bridge on the island of Lagos, where the suspect allegedly carried the victim and threw it down.

    Although the victim did not die, he was seriously injured and was rushed to a secret hospital where doctors were fighting to save his life.

    When Obi realized what he had done by thinking that the victim had died, he tried to escape.

    The attendees held him and asked him to wear the body because it was what he wanted. He was later handed over to the police who held him at the police station.

    What Obi had made such an attempt was not revealed by the police, who also claimed that Obi had hit the victim with a motorcycle jacket before throwing him off the bridge.

    The defendant was charged with the Ikeja Magistrates court for the alleged crime. The public prosecutor, inspector Benson Emuerhi, informed the court that the victim was still in the hospital receiving a treatment about the attack.

    The chairman of the president, Mrs. O. Sule Amzat, gave Obi bail in the amount of N100,000 with two deposits in the same sum. He was in pre-trial detention in pre-trial detention if he would perfect his bail condition. The issue was adjourned until 5 July 2018.
