SUPERSTITION 1; A virgin in dilemma (18+) Episode 12
Episode 12
The whole hall was filled with sounds from clapping hands. You should know how it feels when you ask someone who is drunk to do something; it is always abnormal, some sounds were coming like those from fireworks, so irritating to the ear drums, but it was all fun.
"Happy birthday to you♪
Happy birthday to you♪"
The MC initiated the hymn while others embraced it. These drunk fellows won't do their things normally.
I went to sit beside Bisi. I wanted to say something at least, but her look got me dumbfounded. "What do think you did out there, you are here with me, yet you keep flirting around."
"Baby girl, I am sorry, you could see she threw herself at me, moreover there is nothing wrong if I hug my classmate" I defended.
"Then go and stay with her" she fired out. I quickly apologised to calm her down, so as not to create a scene there.
I never saw anything wrong in hugging my classmate. Hugging has been a norm for me, even though I had never done the kissing. I thought my lips would remain virgins alongside with myself, not knowing I was going to break the myth that very night.

The programs continued with so much interesting activities, I checked the time and was very surprising to realise it was almost twelve midnight.
There were eating and drinking competitions, quiz, comedy, musical entertainment from some school artists and some other cool activities.
There were so many delicacies, but that was the first birthday I attended and there was no rice. I had never seen that. Delicacies that were available included: fried plantain, coleslaw, pepper soup, suya, puff puff, wine, alcohol, palm wine and some other drinks.
Everything was normal until a new session was announced. The basket passing session. I had never encountered that in real life, but I have heard about it.
The MC announced the rule and signaled to the DJ for a music as we passed the basket round the whole hall.
The basket had not gotten to my side when I sensed a vibration from my phone. It was an SMS from Wole. I was wondering why he would send a text by this time of the night, when the music stopped abruptly and people were shouting and laughing at me, then I realised the basket was on my lap. "What the hell! I am the first victim." I said to myself.
The MC pulled me from my seat and ushered me to the main stage. Some were clapping, some were shouting and some were laughing but I was a little bit shy. I stole a glance at Bisi and i realised she was also laughing. That relieved me a bit, at least she was sad no more.
The MC brought out a tray of wrapped papers and I was asked to pick one. I picked it and handed it over to the MC. He unwrapped the paper and read out the content. "kiss your partner here in everyone's presence or bail yourself out with a thousand naira."
