Since the first index Coronavirus case was recorded in Nigeria on the 27th of February, 2020, the confirmed cases, has now find its way to 34 states in the country including the FCT.
However, as the pandemic disease-COVID-19 continues to spread across border, two (2) states in Nigeria, are yet to record any confirmed case of the novel virus.
1.Kogi
Even with it's proximity toAbuja, and a stringent route from the North central to several Southern states, Kogi state is yet to record any confirmed case of Coronavirus. Other states with confirmed cases of Coronavirusthatalso share boundarieswith Kogi states are: Niger, Nasarawa, Kwara, Benue, Anambra, Enugu, Ondo, Ekiti, and Edo.
2. Cross River
Cross River is the second lucky state with absolute no record of confirmed Coronavirus case in the state.
However, despite zero record of the pandemic disease-COVID-19in the state, the Governor -Ben Ayade, has ensured the state is put under lockdown to prevent Importation of the pandemic disease into the state.
Other states with confirmed cases ofCoronaviruswho share boundarieswith Cross River, are: Akwa Ibom, Benue, Abia, Ebonyi and Cameroon.
As the secrets of this feat achieved by the states remains unknown, we strongly hope that this disease will not spread to their states. However, time will tell !
