Man dupes Poly Ede Students of close to 1millions naira
A cyber cafe owner at the FPE mini mart has been arrested by the police for the offence of duping over fifteen students around 600,000Naira and still counting.
It was gathered that Rufus Bamidele Olaniyan who runs a cyber cafe that deals with students' registrations and school fee payment opposite Lecturer Barbing shop at the mini mart was detained by the school security officials before finally handed over to the police due to the fact that he has defrauded some students with the money meant for their school fees payment.
Bamidele initially claimed that his actions were unintentional and was pushed by spirititual forces before he finally confessed that he had used the money to settle some debt with the hope of realising them back as soon as possible.
Students and cadets who who were at his home found out that he has 9atm cards from different banks and a black pot was found in his room.
The affected students were seen to be distressed and frustrated by his actions and demand immediate actions by the school management and security operatives.
Bamidele however pleaded that the justice should be tempered with mercy while dealing with his case.
As at the time of filing this report, Bamidele is still in Police custody and we hope that lawful acts shall be taking against him.
