    Jubilation In Ikirun As JBO Commission Multi-million Naira Hotel

    It was a relishing and exciting moment for the people of Ikirun in Osun state as they witnesssed the commissioning of JBO Hotel & Suites, a classic hospitality set-up.
    The colourful and glamorous event held few hours after businessman, Alhaji Jamiu Babatunde Okanlawon (JBO) was hosted at the palace of the  Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Rauf Olayiwola, for his installation ceremony as the Bobagunwa of Ikirunland.

    At the event of commissioning the hotel, security personnel have a hard time controlling the huge traffic of people at the gathering and to avert any unforeseen circumstances and ensure proper compliance of protocols.

    The Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Olayiwola, was flanked at the event by other traditional rulers such as the Oloyan of Oyan, Oba Adekeye Oyebare, the Onira of Ira, Oba Oyewale Oyetoro and the onipede of Ipede in Kwara state.

    Chief Adeniyi Odetunde, the Osun State IPMAN Chairman, chaired the event which has in attendance other dignitaries such; the host Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, represented by a Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC), Abuja, Senator Mudashiru Hussein, Chief Imam, Jaiye, Osogbo, Mohammed Jamiu and businessman, Alhaji Moshood Adekunle Oluawo (MOSADEC).

    Other dignitaries are Mr. Sammy from Akure, Chief Ayanda. A, Alhaji Mascot, Alhaji Oketoye, Alhaji M. Adedokun from Ogbomoso, Alhaji Jire Ayanda, Osun transport boss, captain of industries, politicians and religious leaders.
    Chief Odetunde, who was represented by the Osun State IPMAN Secretary, Mr. Sola Oyerinde, described Chief Okanlawon as a worthy ambassador for oil marketers body and communities he is representing, saying the commissioning of the hotel has further shown his quest for development.
    He welcomed guests and well-wishers to the event, seeking their patience and understanding while it will last.
    Thereafter, a prayer session ensued, with clerics showering blessings on Chief Okanlawon and a resounding AMIN from the audience filling the hall.
    Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, commended Chief Okanlawon for investmenting in the hotel, saying aside the economic benefit that the business will render to host community and the state, it would also offer employment to teeming youth graduating from school.
    Represented by Senator Hussein, Oyetola prayed for the continued expansion of the business, adding that Chief Okanlawon will be able to make enough return from the investment to boost his confidence and others in investing in the state.
    “From this hotel, more of such investments will be recorded in Ikirun, a town flowing with honey and milk,” he said, adding that this was the message his boss, Oyetola, asked him to convey at the event.
    Senator Hussein took the opportunity of the gathering to emphasize the need for every citizens to pay tax, saying this remained the lifeline of any government and what provides the needed resources for government to pursue development projects.
    In his goodwill message, the Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Olayiwola, gave thank to God for making the commissioning of JBO Hotel & Suites possible, recalling that the location of the edifice was sometime ago a dark forest but the turnaround for development was an answered prayer.
    Oba Olayiwola hailed the citing of the hotel in Ikirun, which he said will add to the economic activity of the town, noting that though Okanlawon is Iwo by birth, he is considered a son of Ikirun, given his economic exploit in the town over the years.
    “If I’m not mistaken, Okanlawon came to Ikirun since he was at a young age and God made him successful in this town,” Oba Olayiwola said, buttressing his view on the business mogul with a song.
    After a thrilling moment of entertainment by Adedeji Cultural Troop, at about 1.52pm, the moment anxiously being awaited arrives, as Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Rauf Olayiwola, opened the hotel for service after cutting the tape ceremony.
    This caused excitement from the crowd who watched at close distance, with well-wishers taking turns to congratulate Chief Okanlawon on the achievement.
    Chief Okanlawon went on take dignitaries on a tour of the hotel for the first time, with Akirun and others having a first hand access to rooms and executive facilities which the hotel possessed.
    From the gym to suites, the tour exposed guest to modern facilities in JBO Hotel & Suites.
    After the tour of the hotel, Chief Okanlawon passed a vote of thank to everyone who identified with him on his chieftaincy title and commissioning of the hotel, praying for their safe return to their individual destinations.
    At the sideline of the event, the eldest son of Chief Okanlawon, Mr. Abiodun expressed delight in the show of love that was showed on his family, saying his father has further shown his uncommon commitment to the development to communities.
    He said the hotel will compliment other business interventions of his father to the society, encouraging people to patronize JBO Hotel & Suites to benefit from the first class hospitality service it promise to offers.
