OsunDecides2018: ACPP Direct It's Supporter To Vote For APC
The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has directed all the supporters of the 20 political party to vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola on Thursday re-run election in Osun State.
The parties who declared her support for the candidate of All Progressives Congress, Alh. Gboyega Oyetola ahead of supplementary election to hold on Thursday said their actions was as a result of the love for party(APC) and for the good records together with the competence of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
The movement during a press conference in Osogbo stated that the reasons for supporting APC candidate was hinged on the true love for the State and citizens.
During the address by the coordinator of the movement, Mr. Adesoji Masino, said, "The ACPP comprised of more than 20 political parties, majorly from the opposition fold, including the All Progressive Congress, before it became the ruling party in Osun. We are key players in the development of Nigeria's democracy.
He noted that, "We participated in the September 22, governorship election which was declared inconclusive by INEC and for which a rerun has been scheduled for Thursday September 27, 2018.
" We are keenly interested in the rerun of the governorship election which is coming up in seven units of Orolu, Osogbo, Ife- South and Ife-North Local government Areas.
According to him, "We can't reinforce mediocre as governor of this state that is what informed our decision to form alliance with Alh. Gboyega Oyetola of All Progressives Congress. As stakeholders and lovers of development, we consider competence, good track record, education, private and public sector experience, intelligence and good conduct as a factor in choosing who to support.
"These had left us no choice than to declare our support for APC candidates."
He admonished all the supporters of the 20 political parties who participated in the governorship election to vote for APC in all the Seven polling units where the rerun will take place.
