APC is a party founded on rotation and zoning for balancing the political equation in the way elections are contested both within the party circle and public offices. But Alas, in order to continue satisfying some particular elements who will go any length to twist and circumvent the already established tradition, the party is now trying to do away with that to the detriment of other section. It is well accepted by every democracy lover and fair political player that Osun West by all standards and arrangements is no doubt the next to field party flag bearer, but we are now being looked at as if we exist for the fortunes and domination of other districts. Failure to consider this fundamental issue as genuine to the party ideals will be catastrophic for the party even though public confidence in the party is already in the decline. Imposition does nothing to any group of people other than destruction. Why is Osun always used as a field to test any novel idea by the party? The party from inception had been doing this: appointment of caretaker committees for local councils longer than usual; and when forced to conduct elections, Aregbe in his cunning approach came up with parliamentary not known to our laws and now introduction of DIRECT PRIMARY. This is a clear ploy to subjugate the West in the scheme of things within the party. If this novel idea scales through, it will not only spell doom but also aid the party's defeat with landslide.
