    LAUTECH expels Adeoti, ex-Osun SSG’s son, 3 others, suspends 8

    Few days after creating waves with his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Rauf Aregbesola’s government, ex-Secretary to the Osun state government, Moshood Adeoti, is in the news again as one of his son, AbdulAfeez Adeoti is expelled from school.
    AbdulAfeez was marked for expulsion by the management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, who sanctioned him for his role in a crisis that broke out in the institution recently.
    Grievances that stemmed from student union election had thrown the institution into chaos. AbdulAfeez and other students were arrested by security operatives drawn to bring the situation to calm.
    On Wednesday, LAUTECH Registrar, J.A. Agboola announced disciplinary action reached by the Senate of the school for students involved in the incident, which ranges from expulsion to suspension for certain period.
    Agboola said the disciplinary action was reached at an emergency meeting held on Tuesday July 24, 2018, explained that the Senate acted base on the recommendation and report of panel set up that investigated the crisis that erupted in the school.
    Those expelled from the school are ADEOTI AbdulAfeez Olatunbosun of Civil Engineering AKINLOYE Oluwatimileyin of Pure and Applied Physics, EZE Raymond Ndubisi of Management and Accounting and DAUDA Sodiq of Chemical Engineering.
    Suspended from the school indefinitely are OLALEKAN Ismail of Computer Science and Engineering and AZEEZ Ayobami Usman, a student of Biochemistry.
    Included in the disciplinary action are AMOO Akeem of Transport Management and ATOYEBI Adeniran Remi of Pure and Applied Mathematics who will be away from the institution for four (4) semesters.
    Rounding the disciplinary list are ADEWALE Sulaiman Adeniyi of Anatomy, OLUWOLE Opeyemi Isreal of Pure and Applied Chemistry, BANKOLE Oluwaseyi of Pure and Applied Physics and ABIOYE Aderemi Joseph of Anatomy, who are suspended from the institution for a period of six (6) semester.
