PRESIDENT BUHARI SIGNS 2018 BUDGET

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2018 Appropriation Bill into law on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

It was confirmed through the President’s official Twitter handle. He also posted a video.

He signed the budget while in the company of the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Abba Kyari, the Budget and National Planning Minister, Senator Udo Udoma,  Information and Culture Minister, Mr Lai Mohammed and Finance Minister, Mrs Kemi Adeosun.

President Buhari had submitted a budget proposal of N8.612 trillion to the National Assembly on November 7, 2017 but was passed on May 16, 2018,  after there was increase by N508 billion to N9.12 trillion.
