Governor of the state of Imo, Rochas Okorocha has revealed that the state leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is under his control again.

He made this remark at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport today on Sunday, May 13, 2018, addressing Rescue Missionaries, APC Chieftains and support groups at the airport to receive him on arrival from Abuja.

Okorocha is locked up in a fight with opposition elements within the Imo APC that allegedly harbored the results of the Imo APC congress that took place last week on Saturday.

He stressed that the National Working Party of the Party would meet on Tuesday, May 16, to discuss the problems of the failed IMO Ward Congress to decide on the new date: "There will be no LGA Congress without the District, you can do not lay the carte for the horse, therefore we must remain calm and keep the law until a new date is set for the two Congressional elections in the state ".

On the stolen sensitive materials the governor said that the assistants of Senator Hope Uzodinma, Sen. Osita Izunaso, Sen Araraume and others have been arrested by NPF in connection with the issue and the perpetrators are being summoned to court: "they are all political thieves".

Okorocha assured members of the party in the state that a conference will still take place and that the 'opposition elements' will be snatched from the party.
