Emotional Poem: Verily verily, I will die
I could not help it but cry,
That's after a heavy sigh,
When I remember that I will die,
And will be judged by the most high,
At times I think I have done the best,
Hoping I can forget the rest,
But deep down in my chest,
I know I can't satisfy God's request,
Verily verily I will die.
All the bad deeds I have done,
The unjust races I have run,
People I have hurt since I was born,
And I had all unlawful fun,
Verily verily I will die.
I turn to God to forgive my sins,
All the ones I have committed since,
The ones to come, he has foreseen,
I just pray he leaves them unseen,
Verily verily I will die.
Most of the times, I lie,
Preventing others from going high,
No matter how much they try,
They don't see my pitiful eye,
Verily verily I will die.
Death is inevitable,
Judgement day is unpreventable,
Even if I am indomitable,
And always sit on high table,
Verily verily I will die.
And eventually when I die,
Leaving this world full of lies,
Perhaps people will cry,
Waving their hands to say goodbye,
Verily verily I will die.
