‘APC Cannot Be Allowed To Take Nigerians For A Ride’- Babangida Speaks

Former Niger Governor Aliyu Mu'azu Babangida has expressed his optimism for the Democratic People's Party (PDP) to assume the power of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in 2019. He said that the APC has failed the Nigerians and can not afford to continue to lead people. Babangida revealed this when he received members of the Inter Committee on Relations with the Community (ICRC) led by the boss of Olusola Ajayi. According to him, the government of the APC at the state and federal level had prepared a good ground for the opposition to resume the power in the three levels of government in the elections next year. He said: "We're going to change the government the next day of the year. We will work harder, we will pray more and God will respond to our prayers to end the pains and economic difficulties that Nigerians live. "The Nigerians had already seen through the federal government of the APC. Nigerians can no longer walk. Also in the Niger state, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has not shown to the electorate why he should be reelected." Speaking of the calls to fight the presidential or senatorial elections, Aliyu said he was still a consultant and will make his position known soon. "I'm still consulting. By the end of June, after Ramadan, I could say categorically whether I am going to compete for any position or not," he said. Speaking previously, the coordinator of the Inter-Community Committee on Relations with the Community, Ajayi, failed the administration of the APC in the state of Niger, which called unfavorable policies against the non-indigenous people of the state, especially through the introduction of discriminatory rates paid in public schools.
