The former Manchester United player, Garth Crooks, has described the club's midfielder, Ander Herrera, as the "most irritating player in the Premier League." Herrera joined United in 2014 from Athletic Bilbao. He scored the winner in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham at Wembley. He has made more than 150 appearances for the Red Devils, and has proven to be a reliable figure for United, helping José Mourinho win the EFL Cup and the Europa League last season. However, the 28-year-old has been associated with diving and poor tackles, and it is for this reason that Crooks says he is the "most irritating player" in England's top flight. The former English international told BBC Sport: "I find Ander Herrera the most irritating player in the Premier League. "It looks like butter does not melt in your mouth." But if you are not taking off your shirt, you are leaving your foot in its opposite number and if someone touches it it falls off as if it had been hit. "Against the Spurs in the FA Cup semifinal, Herrera did all those things and much more, he took care of Mousa Dembele in the first half and then prevailed in the rest of the game. "In fact, it seemed to be everywhere, that your performance is so contagious and, somehow, you stay on the field, it's something you have to do, I guess that's what José Mourinho calls a winning mentality."
