SECESSION: Poem by Omolade

Why the ranting about secession
At this time of rehabilitation
What we need is cooperation
To fight against corruption

What is actually your intention
For raising this motion
If not for separation
Then it's for transgression

There is an impression
Which leads to this notion
It needs proper correction
In order to get a solution

Your attraction is the oil production
And your hectares of land cultivation
I pity your condition
You think that is enough for satisfaction

All we see is your agitation
And your provocative action
Which caused similar reaction
From the arewa fraction

Take ojukwu as an inspiration
And the sacrifice of your past generation
To use this as a caution
You won't reflect due to desperation

All you now do is go around with depression
Disturbing us with your cry of recession
Yet you haven't die of starvation
But here you are clamouring for partition

I humbly pray for resolution
And the progress of the nation
But only if you are ready for reconciliation
We are hopefully waiting for your assertion
