Wandering in the streets of Lagos every morning
Sleeping under the bridges at night
He has no roof over his head
He's in a desperate plight
He maybe homeless;
But definitely not hopeless

In search of freedom-
He lost his wisdom
He wanted to enjoy life-
But life chose to enjoy him instead
He is homeless;

But practically not hopeless

Wasteful, wistful and woeful
He has chosen his path
A day will come-
When you and happiness will never part
You are just homeless
Do not be hopeless

He once lived in luxury
But now in penury
Used to be in the company of families
Now in the midst of calamities
Homelessness isn't a disease
Hopelessness is.

Because he has no roof over his head
The bare floor,he calls his bed
Do not look down on him,
For today's villain
Can become tomorrow's hero
He chose to be homeless
But determined not to be hopeless.
