Holy and Hell (Poem by Osinloye Adegoke)

Once there was a man, a holy man.
His ways were pure and heaven was sure.
Children loved him, and so did his clan.
All was well with him but he wanted more.

He had silver and he yearned for gold,
His hunger for glory was insatiable.
He grew wings and became bold,
His steady steps soon started to wobble.

Children day by day became few,
His old life once again became new,
His grace left him and away it flew,
His end was near yet he never knew.

    Death came with lightening fire,
And he ascended to descend later.
In the pit of hell, the very center,
Where he spends his life there after.
